DAY SIXTY | CONFIDENCE – 3

Psalm 4:6, “The Lord lifts up the light of His countenance upon us.”

The third conviction that produces confidence in our lives is our belief that, “God will reveal Himself to me.” So many people live in a gloomy fog of never quite knowing what God has in store for them. They are forever wandering through life like a ship at sea in a murky fog.

God will lift up His light over your life. He promises that His word will be a lamp unto your feet and a light unto your path. You can know the will of God for your life. You can walk confidently in the fact that God will light up the way you should go. God’s plan will light up inside you and start to rise within you as a dream or as a strong desire. Confident people believe this to be God’s light within. God’s light will also fall upon good things in and around your life, and it requires us then to look for these good things.

If you spend your time looking into the shadows of life in fear of predators and other misfortunes, you will completely miss the enlightened path God has prepared for you. Confidence comes from knowing God will light up my way and make it clear to me. You must have an absolute assurance that God will smile upon you and enlighten your way.

Do not allow yourself to dwell in dark, gloomy places where there is no definitive direction or decisions. Light always makes things clear and sharp, and people who dwell in the light make clear and definite decisions about life. Stop vacillating about life and have a confidence that God will show you the way, and get on with it by making some definite decisions.
