WELCOME TO DAY THIRTY ONE | LOOKING FOR THE RIGHT THINGS

PSALM 36 : 9 – In your light WE SEE LIGHT.

When we walk in the light of God’s presence we are able to see things we did not know existed. Hidden from our natural view are amazing co-incidences of divine grace.

These are the things God has prepared for those who love Him.

They are things that the human heart cannot comprehend! These are the miracles that crowd into the life of those who believe in the Living God.

However you must believe to see such things for them to become a reality. Negative, timid and fearful people do not see “light things”, but look instead for shadows and difficulties.

It is imperative today that you firstly know that you are in the light of God’s presence and favour, and then secondly that you train your eye to look for “light things.”

“Light things” are everywhere. To see “light things” is to look for the good in every situation. It is to see the best in every person’s endeavour. It is to believe the best in every report.

The truth is that in every situation there is usually some black and white. An upside and a downside! A good news and bad news scenario! It is what you choose to look at that determines your walk in life.

If you see light and good in everything, you will walk in the light. If you see problems and difficulties in everything, then you will walk in the shadows of life.

Walking in the light is good for you. Things grow best in the light. A stunted life is probably the result of too many shadows.

A healthy expanding life is the result of looking for, and living in the light. You can’t light up your world if you are always seeing shadows. You can change your world for good if you look for light and consequently become a light bearer.

Change the way you see you partner, boss, family, friends etc. and look for the light in them all. Mind you! You need to live in His light first to see “light things” around you.

PRACTICAL

1. identify the people in your life who you need to look at with “light eyes”.

2. Identify the current areas that you have been seeing shadows in – and now write down what they would look like with “light eyes.”

3. God says that when His word enters your mind and heart it brings light. try reading God’s word looking for verses that bring light and hope.
