DAY SIXTEEN – TELL THE WORLD

WELCOME TO DAY SIXTEEN – GO TELL THE WORLD
Some time ago I spent a day with Pastor Brian Houston and the Hillsong staff at their annual retreat. I was amazed at the buy-in by the Hillsong team into “70 days to excel”.
It was inspiring to talk to so many of the team who are applying themselves to excel in areas of their lives. Many are exercising and losing weight etc. while others are increasing their devotional life. Others are taking up the challenge to manage their finances in a better manner and so the reports kept coming.
Hey! If you are seeing some results then post a comment so that others can be encouraged.
I also had a call from a country church Pastor who felt as though God was calling their whole church to a new season, and the excel70 campaign was exactly what they needed together.
Go for it and excel-erate your progress and growth in life.
PRACTICAL
1.Send an update as to your progress and a comment which can inspire others on the journey.
2. Go tell someone in your world that you are doing well in your desire to excel.
3. Use twitter, facebook or any other medium to tell the world about Excel 70.
4. Thank God for the opportunity he has given you to rise up to new levels of grace and favour.

WELCOME TO DAY FIFTEEN – EXCELLENCE IN PERSONAL FINANCES
Ross Buttenshaw is the director of ‘Christians Against Poverty’ (CAP). Ross will contribute some articles helping us Excel in our finances. You can find out more about CAP by visiting www.capaust.org
The B word – Its time to do what you’ve been putting off – that’s right, a budget! Most people don’t even put a budget together because the truth can be hard to handle, but if we want to excel in our personal finances it all starts with the truth and we all know what the truth does – it sets you free!
So you’re sitting at the computer, Excel Spreadsheet a click away, trying to make excuses about how good you are at managing your finances – but the truth is you have no idea how much money you spend each month! God’s called us to be good stewards and generous people but that’s hard when our finances are not in order.
So find a find a budget tool (they are all over the web) and give it a go.
If you don’t know where to start here are 3 easy steps:-
1) Work out all your income on a regular basis – record it in your budget tool.
2) Work out all your expenses on the same regular basis
3) If your expenses are more than your income you can only do 2 things SPEND LESS or EARN MORE
Sounds too simple but I’ve got more to come over the next few weeks which will really set your finances free!

DAY FOURTEEN | Fruit that feeds others

WELCOME TO DAY FOURTEEN | FRUIT THAT FEEDS OTHERS
LUKE 6 : 43 – For every tree is known by its own fruit.
Some people spend their whole life as hunters and gatherers, and even defend such a position saying God made them to be such. The truth is that we are made to be creators not consumers. It does not matter how you obtained what you have, if you did not grow it, it does not have your DNA. In other words, the things we grow in our lives are the things that reveal our true DNA. Your car does not reveal the kind of person you are, nor the clothes you wear. However, your wife and your children reveal the kind of person you are.
