WELCOME TO DAY ELEVEN | CREATING THE RIGHT IMAGE OF GOD

PSALM 150 : 2 – Praise Him for His mighty acts; Praise Him according to His excellent greatness.

I dread to think what it would be like to live without being firmly grounded on some unshakeable absolutes.

My security comes from knowing and believing in a God who is greater than anything my created realm can bring into my life.

I am secure in the fact that because of Him, all things will work out for good. In order for me to maintain my security of faith, I find it necessary to exalt Him in all that He does in my life.

I do this by praising Him in all things.
I praise my God for His mighty acts.
I praise God in church and out of church.
I praise God for His excellent wisdom and strength.
I praise Him for His greatness and power.

I do this to maintain my perspective of God according to the way His word reveals Him to be.

I cannot and will not reduce God to the level of my understanding or circumstance. I must at all times maintain the integrity of His person and position.

I do this by vocalising audible praise for who He is and what He has done. When I do this I allow God to be who He really is in my life and it pays huge dividends.

When you audibly praise God you create an environment in which God can establish the throne of His authority.

God is enthroned in the praises of His people. God wants to be your God, but on His terms.

He can ever only fully reveal Himself to you, when you afford Him the honour due to His name. When you do this you align your heart with His ways and give Him authority to act according to His purposes.

The whole of Psalm 50 is devoted to praising God and finishes with, “let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Go ahead – Praise the Lord.”

PRACTICAL

1. Examine your day to see when and how you praise God for His excellent goodness toward you.

2. Set a special time when you give God praise. Change your daily habits if God sounds are not in your life.

3. Commit to being in church and being a God praiser in the congregation of the righteous.

4. Read the Bible because that is where God praise inspiration comes from.
