WELCOME TO DAY TEN | THE BEHAVIOUR OF ROYALTY

1 SAMUEL 10 : 25 – Then Samuel explained to the people the behaviour of royalty.

One of the greatest themes throughout the Bible is the “royal priesthood of all believers.”

Simply put it means that we are all raised up together with Christ into “heavenly places” to rule and reign with Him forever. Hard to imagine but true!

We have been given royal status on earth as sons and daughters of the living God.

However it is still often necessary to explain the behaviour of royalty to many people in life.

It seems as though some people are content with the base things of life, rather than aspiring to lift up their heads and live in an exalted position of favour and influence.

If you wish to live the “royal life” you will need to have it explained to you by people who have learned to live the way God intended us to live.

I do not mean living some proud and arrogant life with false airs and graces, but rather a life filled with noble intentions and an expectation of good success.

God wants you to live a right royal life while here on earth and to do anything less is to demean His plan for His children.

To live the royal life is to be committed to good success so that you can bestow it on those who have joined you on the journey.

Royalty is about attitude and position rather than possession.

Have you ever seen people with possessions who have no idea how to act in a royal position?

For example some of our highly paid entertainers and sports people certainly have the possessions that go with the exalted position of success, but they certainly do not have the nobility and decency demanded by such an exalted position.

With royalty comes responsibility, and it behoves us to understand the manner in which we should live when given a royal inheritance through Jesus Christ.

Don’t blow your opportunity to be royal. Decide to act in a manner befitting your royal inheritance and enjoy the blessings and responsibilities of heavenly places in life.

PRACTICAL

1. Start imagining yourself succeeding in life.

2. Write down a list of things you would do with five million dollars.

3. Where would you work, live and go to church if you came into a lot of money. If your world would change dramatically by a lucky circumstance – then you need to look at the call of God upon your life to the place you are now in.

4. Identify three areas of your life that need to change to mix with people of a higher rank in life. Maybe your presentation – maybe your conversation – maybe your application.
