Psalm 40 : 4 – “Blessed is the man who makes the Lord his trust.”
WELCOME TO DAY TWO
If anything good is going to come out of our 70 days to Excel it will happen through trusting in God for His ongoing help.
Trust is an amazing thing. You cannot buy it. It cannot be won through athletic achievement, nor can it be bestowed upon a person for courageous acts.
Ultimately it is through love that we learn to trust. All trust is the result of a developed love for someone or something.
To love someone is to trust someone. If that person were to do something that caused you to stop trusting them, it really would be as a result of their betrayal of your love for them. To trust in the Lord – happens when you come to know and love Him.
People can only genuinely trust God when they have developed a deep and personal love for Him.
We are promised “blessing” if we will trust the Lord in all things. The key to trust is to let it become the natural fruit of a developed “love affair.”
In this 70 day season, focus on loving God and His word, and you will be amazed at how easy it will be to trust Him in all areas of your life.
Notice it is up to you to “make the Lord your trust.”
God does not have to earn your trust; rather you must make the Lord your trust by falling in love with all He represents.
Do not focus on trying to trust. Fall in love and trust will automatically develop.
Remember: Love trusts.
PRACTICAL
1. Take some time to simply love God. The more you learn to give and receive His love the more you trust in Him for all you need and desire to accomplish.
2. Take your dream list out and prayerfully re-arrange your dreams into some sort of rough order. Number them so they have some form of priority in your life.
3. Now focus on the highest priority dreams and see yourself fulfilling them.
4. Now write down the things you need to do to prepare yourself to fulfill your closest dreams.
5. Don’t be slack concerning the promises of God, but address all the areas of your life and write down a list of challenges to face in the next 70 days.
